Steve Jobs relayed some key stats at the Worldwide Developer Conference on 8th June 2010:

• 2 million iPads sold in the first 59 days (that’s 1 every 3 seconds) (see video: part 1)
• iPad now sold in 10 countries, to be 19 countries by the end of July
• there’s currently 8,500 native iPad apps
• these iPad apps have been downloaded 35 million times
• 225,000 iPhone apps (see video part 3, 5:52 min mark)
• 5 billion iPhone apps downloaded
• Apple has paid out $1 billion to developers (that’s the developers 70% share of a paid app)
