Steve Jobs relayed some key stats at the Apple iPhone OS 4 Event on 8th April 2010:
- 300,000 iPads sold on first day
- up to 450,000 sold a few days later (stock has run out)
- 4 billion apps downloaded from the App store
- 185,000 apps in the App store
- 3,500 iPad apps
- 250,000 iBooks downloaded first day, now up to 600,000
- 50 million iPhones sold
- 85 million iPhone + iPod touches sold altogether
